Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Tori Kelly has been hospitalized for severe blood clots, as confirmed by ABC News.
Kelly was out to dinner with friends in Los Angeles on Sunday (July 23) night when her heart started racing [as per TMZ], eventually causing the 30-year-old musician to collapse and pass out. Her friends proceeded to rush her to Cedars-Sinai, where she is now under the care of ICU doctors.
They have reportedly discovered multiple blood clots in Kelly's legs and lungs, and are still working to determine if there are any surrounding her heart. The singer has apparently been in and out of consciousness.
This scary situation comes just ahead of the release of Kelly's new EP, tori, set for Friday (July 28). After initially getting her start on American Idol, she went on to release a couple EPs and an album of R&B-tinged pop, before shifting her focus to gospel music, as well as starring in the Sing movies.
