Now that he's fighting with his former Blink-182 buds, Tom DeLonge is focused on his solo album To the Stars.... After a brief teaser video, he's shared the album's first official single.
"New World" opens with some scrubbed-clean post-punk not unlike the U2 referencing DeLonge loves to do in his Angels and Airwaves. The song eventually breaks into the sort of anthemic, fist-pumping chorus he's been doing with Blink for decades. On first listen, it's better than anything they did on their 2011 album Neighborhoods.
