Tokyo Police Club Call On Slacker Students To Make New Video

BY Dave SynyardPublished Mar 6, 2008

Newmarket, Ontario's Tokyo Police Club are extending an offer to their peers, or more precisely Canadian college students, to create their next music video. TPC and mtvU are teaming up and looking for ideas for the band’s new single "In A Cave," taken from their forthcoming full-length debut Elephant Shell (out April 22 on Mean Beard/Universal).

So, to all the college students across our fine nation: put down your pens and paper, wait, laptops and Blackberries, because you only have until March 17 to submit your entry. (And Exclaim! in no way condones neglecting your school work for such a project.) Be warned that TPC have a few guidelines to keep in mind while conjuring up that brilliant concept: no robots or any acting from the band. (Well, that’s a first: musicians who don’t want to be actors.)

The winner will have one day to shoot the video with the band, and will then be featured on mtvU.
