Fans of gothic rock/metal might take to this Finnish band's catchy melodic pop songs, which are mixed in with some undeniable melancholy, but their sound comes in a little too sugary for these ears. Latter-day Paradise Lost is the first thing that comes to mind, but To Die For fall into the trap of playing the same song over and over again with little variation. The biggest complaint I have, though, is that the vocals are a bit on the thin side and do not command the power they need to succeed in this genre. Let's hope for better results next time out.
