New Jersey-proud indie punks Titus Andronicus have their album The Most Lamentable Tragedy coming out later this month, and they've now given fans something to chew over until then: a 15-minute short film called The Magic Morning.
This is essentially an ultra-lavish music video; while most videos feature just one song, this one contains six. Album tracks seven through 12 appear here; that's the entire side B of the first disc of the vinyl version. The theatrical rock songs in question are: "The Magic Morning," "Lookalike," "I Lost My Mind (DJ)," "Mr. E Mann," "Fired Up" and "Dimed Out."
The video was written and directed by Titus Andronicus frontman Patrick Stickles. The whole thing plays out in a small, flower-strewn room, as Stickles and his buddies perform dance routines, perform the song and engage in some wacky theatrics. Stickles appears both with and without a beard. Watch it below.
The Most Lamentable Tragedy is due out on July 28 on Merge. The album's lyrics have been added to genius.com ahead of time.
