Ahead of playing Canada on a North American tour this fall, Tinariwen have announced plans to reissue a pair of albums and bring a new rarities collection into print.
In November, the collective of Tuareg musicians will share Kel Tinariwen — recorded in the early '90s as their first official release — via Wedge Records, while reissues of 2007's Aman Iman: Water Is Life and 2009's Imidiwan: Companions will arrive through Craft Recordings.
All three releases will arrive via their respective labels on November 4 in a variety of formats, all of which are now available for pre-order.
Both Aman Iman: Water Is Life and Imidiwan: Companions have been out of print since their respective initial releases. Previously unreleased single "Arghane Manine," which appears on Kel Tinariwen, can be heard below.
Tinariwen's upcoming North American tour features three dates in Canada. On September 16, the band will play Vancouver's Imperial Theatre, ahead of making stops at Montreal's Rialto Theatre and Toronto's Danforth Music Hall in October to close out the run.
Find the band's complete tour itinerary below, with further ticketing information available via Tinariwen's official website.
Tinariwen's most recent album remains 2019's Amadjar, which featured Micah Nelson, Cass McCombs, Stephen O'Malley, Warren Ellis and more.
