Say what you will about Third Eye Blind — that "Semi-Charmed Life" was overplayed; that Stephan Jenkins was too douchey in his episode of Cribs — but there's no denying the band's talent, particularly on their near-perfect debut album. They'll add another record to the collection with a new release called Dopamine later this year.
Dopamine marks the band's first full-length offering since 2009's Ursa Major. A press release suggests the sound is a bit of a throwback for the band: "Employing signature guitar riffs and rock arrangements, Dopamine is vintage Third Eye Blind — a body of work whose songwriting details the personal relationships that have come and gone and the rapidly changing world we live in."
Lead single "Everything Is Easy" is available below, and while it's no "Graduate" or "Narcolepsy" or "Jumper," it's certainly got some charms of its own.
Dopamine will arrive on June 16. Third Eye Blind will get back on their grind this summer with an enormous tour, the dates of which are available below.
