Thee Oh Sees

"Fortress"

John Dwyer has been keeping busy this year, releasing Mutilator Defeated at Last with Thee Oh Sees, as well as Damaged Bug's latest, Cold Hot Plumbs. The former outfit recently wrapped up a string of North American tour dates, but they've just unveiled plans for a pair of benefit concerts later this week in Los Angeles — and to entice attendees, Thee Oh Sees have shared a new track called "Fortress."

The song was recorded during the sessions for Mutilator Defeated at Last and will see release as a 7-inch single on February 12 through Castle Face. The single artwork is pictured above.

More intricate than your average garage rock song, "Fortress" features crashing percussion, whirling guitars and minimal but melodic vocals. You can listen to the new cut in the player below.

Thee Oh Sees will play the Teragram Ballroom on December 16 and 17 with proceeds going to homeless community outreach program L.A. Kitchen.
