Back in 2005, fans of the Tragically Hip voted which tracks they wanted on a greatest hits compilation, which eventually turned into Yer Favourites. Now, for the first time ever, the band's best-selling selects album is being pressed to vinyl.
Set to arrive June 2 via Universal Music Canada, the compilation will be released in two split double LP sets on 180g vinyl. Volume 1 and 2 will be packaged in a single sleeve, both for environmental reasons and cost efficiency. Each volume will also include a 24-by-36-inch fold-out poster.
Originally released as a two-CD set, Yer Favourites is the second best-selling compilation album ever in Canada, falling just behind the Beatles' 1. The vinyl edition of the album follows the 30th-anniversary reissue of Fully Completely last year.
