The Tea Party Celebrate 20 Years of 'Transmission' with Anniversary Tour

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Oct 24, 2016

In 1997, Canadian rockers the Tea Party released their fourth studio LP Transmission, which went on to reach double platinum status in the country, hit No. 3 on the Canadian charts and earn the band a Juno nomination. Twenty years on from its release, the band have revealed plans for a sprawling anniversary tour.

The 31-date trek will begin in February and will see the band perform Transmission in its entirety. Following the front-to-back album performance, the Tea Party will play a selection of their greatest hits.

The Tea Party's tour itinerary will largely keep them in their home nation of Canada, crossing the border for two shows in Buffalo come February and one date in Seattle to close out the tour. The Road Heavy will provide opening support on a handful of tour dates, which can be found below.

Tickets for all dates go on sale October 28 here, with a pre-sale running on October 26 and 27. A VIP ticket option will get you a meet & greet photo opportunity with the band, along with a Tea Party draw-string backpack, a Transmission commemorative coffee table book, souvenir VIP laminate, 5x7 lithograph and a 5x7 glossy Transmission-era photo.
