The 1975 are about to unleash a string of their own pop hits with A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, but first they've covered somebody else's current No. 1 hit.
The band visited BBC's "Live Lounge" to perform a rendition of Ariana Grande's "thank u, next."
Frontman Matty Healy explained his choice of song to host Clara Amfo, saying she's "somebody who I've started to really care about for some reason."
"She's had a ripe old tough time, and I like her a lot," he continued. "I think she's cool. And she's got a great voice, and I don't, so I'm going to sing one of her songs."
Listen to him do just that over here. The band launches into "thank u, next" at the 2:23:40 mark.
The 1975's A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships arrives November 30 via Polydor.
