Tess Parks penned her track "Life Is But a Dream" when she was just 13 years old, but it still managed to find its way on the now 23-year-old's 2013 record Blood Hot. Shining more light on the track, Parks has now shared its accompanying video.
The self-directed clip is a scratchy-looking retro-chic affair. It appears to have been shot with a vintage film camera, and it's filled with sepia-toned images of convertible drives, blustery beach hangs and sunny meadow flocking. This is an apt complement to the dreamy folk song's reverb-shrouded, nostalgic blur.
"I wrote this song when I was 13," Parks said in a statement. "I never thought any of my songs would ever see the light of day. It feels really good to be able to release it 10 years later."
