Ten Second Epic

One More for the Road

There’s no wonder this band is popular; they play crowd-pleasing emo with memorable melodies and bittersweet guitar bits. The problem lies in that it sounds like every other band producing screaming emotional punk these days. The airy light vocals are sometimes eerily similar to those of Coheed and Cambria vocalist Claudio, while the more up-tempo songs can easily be mistaken for songs by the Starting Line. I appreciate some of the care in songwriting, but the only thing this record did was remind me to go listen to some old Armor for Sleep that’s been gathering dust.
