Teenage Knockups

Keep Hollywood Out of Winnipeg

BY Sam SutherlandPublished Nov 1, 2004

Teenage Knockups play fast, and they play dirty. It sounds a little bit like a certain band has been listening to a lot of Minor Threat lately, and that’s never a bad thing. With only four of 16 songs clocking in at over two minutes, most of the tracks on this album are fast and furious blasts of old school punk. Featuring generally-melodic vocals and to-the-point lyrics, tracks like "No Pride” and "Kill Kill Kill” kick you in the shins before punching you in the junk just to make a statement. Listenable but relentless, Keep Hollywood… is a fine modern companion to your collection of early Dischord releases.
