Orillia, ON-based songwriter/producer Taylor Knox has announced plans for his follow-up to 2019's Here Tonight. The Dreamer arrives independently on May 12.
The 16-track record finds Knox exploring the meditative dreams he experienced in the isolation of early-pandemic lockdowns. "The Dreamer is about leaving behind the grind of the music industry, departing the big city for a small town, and getting back to the same wonder and creativity that I felt as a kid when I first began playing around with music," explained Knox.
He continued, "The time and solitude that I experienced and its ultimate reevaluation of what I want music to be in my life has given me a renewed passion for creating music for no other purpose than joy and self-expression."
Today, Knox shares the album's lead single "Being Human," which arrives alongside a Matthew Waring-directed music video. Watch that below, where you'll also find the album's tracklist.
Knox is due to perform a pair of shows next month: first at Toronto's Baby G on May 12 and then at Hamilton's Mills Hardware on May 13. More details on that here and here.
