Britpop bigwigs Suede recently announced plans for the follow-up to 2013's comeback record Bloodsports, confirming that a new set of songs titled Night Thoughts will be arriving early next year. Now, they've offered up a taste of the new material with the unveiling of a single called "Outsiders."
In addition to the new music, Night Thoughts will be accompanied by a feature-length film of the same name — so it only makes sense that the latest tune comes equipped with some matching visuals.
Director Roger Sargent previously explained that, "The film starts with a man drowning in the waters of a deserted beach at night, as he fights for life, his mind plays out the events that lead him to be there."
The new clip features footage of that man having a romantic underwater encounter, but the full story will become clearer when the film debuts at Suede's live two-night appearance at the London Roundhouse on November 13 and 14. A DVD copy of the movie will also be included with the LP release, which is due on January 22.
