This EP contains seven studio tracks and a bonus live CBGB set. Striking Distance hail from Washington, DC, and play punchy old school hardcore in the vein of Infest, Negative Approach and Agnostic Front, and they have the right levels of anger and intensity to make it sound good. With songs like "Tear It Down" and "Common Rage," you know they aren't kidding around. And even though they claim they're trying to put DC hardcore back on the map, they have more in common with New York hardcore, with the chanting, mosh parts and propensity for violence. At the beginning of the live set the singer says, "If you had a shitty week like mine, let's see you fuckin' hurt somebody." At least you know it's not emo.
