This year's Polaris Music Prize season will wrap up tonight (September 23), when the winner will be selected by the Grand Jury at the Polaris Music Prize Gala at the Carlu in Toronto. Luckily for those who won't be on hand, you can still watch all of the goings-on via a live YouTube stream.

Courtesy of AUX TV, the stream begins at 7 p.m. EST with a pre-show, when the embedded payer at the bottom of this page will go live. The stream below will then broadcast the Gala in full starting at 8 p.m. EST.

Awesomely, the stream will consist of two separate feeds, one for the gala and another for backstage. You can toggle between the two within the embedded player.

If you'd like to join the social media conversation about the gala, the hashtag is #polaris2013.

The Gala will be hosted by past nominees Kathleen Edwards and Shad. There will be performances from current nominees Zaki Ibrahim, Metric, METZ, Purity Ring, Colin Stetson, A Tribe Called Red, Whitehorse and Young Galaxy. (The other nominees, Tegan and Sara and Godspeed You! Black Emperor won't be playing.) The winner of the $30,000 prize will be announced at the end of the evening.

Until then, you can also watch some mini-documentaries about all the artists nominated this year over here.
