Starring Janet Leigh Unveil New Album, Line Up Ontario Dates

Having recently signed a deal with Metal Blade sub-label Ironclad Recordings, Toronto's Starring Janet Leigh are set to release their debut full-length, Spectrum, on May 12.

Formed in 2003, SJL blend together the styles of death metal, hardcore and jazz to create a technical and progressive sound. The band have toured across Canada, performing over 140 shows, some of which with the likes of Candiria, the End, Cryptopsy, Circle Takes the Square, Cancer Bats, Beneath the Massacre and Despised Icon.

Recorded in June and September of 2007, Spectrum was recorded with producer/engineer Greg Dawson of BWC Studios, who has previously worked with Mare (Hydrahead), the End (Relapse) and Moneen (Vagrant). The mastering of Spectrum was done by Alan Douches at West West Side, who has worked with Converge, the End, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon, Unearth and Nile.
