Man, these kids today sure know how to rock. Staring Back are a quintet hailing from the shores of Goleta, California. This is their first full-length and it has plenty of pop punch. They sound a little like mid-period Descendents, with a new school twist and a bit of emo. A few speedy New York-style hardcore numbers also add a certain balance. Even though these 16 songs clock in at under 30 minutes, it still leaves you feeling complete.
