Sessions Volume III

After over a decade of rocking the dance floor, Stanton Warriors are as relentless as ever. And to prove it, they’ve thrown down the long-awaited third instalment of their Stanton Sessions, a genre-blending, movement-inducing collection of breaks, electro, hip-hop and sweat-stained party starters. For 18 tracks, this primarily comes by way of remixes/mash-ups, as the UK production team of Dominic B. and Mark Yardley take on cuts by the likes of Basement Jaxx, Yo Majesty, Boys Noize, Bryan Cox and Digitalism. And while the duo only occasionally fly their Stanton Warriors banner, Volume III is still more album than mix. No matter what source material Stanton Warriors touch — whether it’s DJ Mehdi’s stunning "Signatune” mixed with an a cappella Chromeo or the uncanny match up of Dizzee Rascal and David Byrne on the BPA’s "Toe Jam” — they revamp it in their unique vision, packing all 74 minutes with breathless beats, electrofied synths and non-stop dance-ability. More importantly, Stanton Warriors have also come out swinging with one of the best party soundtracks of the season.
