Spoons Return to Western Canada on Spring Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 21, 2014

It's been many years since Ontario new wave act Spoons came to Western Canada, but that will change this May when the group head all the way to the West Coast on a short tour.

Following a show in Barrie, ON, on May 2, the western schedule includes six dates, half of them in Alberta and the other half in British Columbia. This will take them a little more than a week to complete. Vancouver roots rock outfit D Trevlon Band will join Spoons on the road at openers. See the schedule below.

After being largely dormant in the '90s and early 2000s, Spoons have staged something of a comeback in recent years. They released the album Static in Transmission in 2011, and the band gave their 1981 album Stick Figure Neighbourhood a CD pressing last year.
