A message to fans of the Specials: they're reuniting. Hopefully. Speaking to the BBC, front-man for the legendary ska outfit said the members are in talks to possibly do a reunion tour.
"Well we're still trying to put dates together, but hopefully September/October time," Hall said. "We need to spend the summer rehearsing... I think it's taken me 30 years to realise we could do it really well."
Rumours have been circulating since last year's Glastonbury festival, where Hall and fellow Special Lynval Golding made a surprise appearance onstage with Lily Allen to perform "Gangsters," and then later on again with Damon Albarn on piano with a beatboxer for "A Message To You, Rudy."
Hall said it's the successful reunions he's witnessed that have inspired him to believe reuniting the Specials wouldn't be the worst idea ever. Asked why he's reform, he said, "Because I saw Patti Smith do Horses, and I saw the Pixies reforming... you do it with dignity or don't do it at all."
