Soundgarden Detail Deluxe Box Set Edition of 'King Animal,' Announce Toronto Show

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 1, 2012

Given that King Animal is Soundgarden's first studio album since the mid-'90s, it's only natural that the reunited grunge group are planning to give their new collection a lavish rollout. In addition to standard CD, vinyl and digital editions, the album will be released as a deluxe box set with a heap of extras.

The 12"x12" box set includes both the vinyl and CD versions of the album, the latter of which comes with three bonus tracks in the form of demos for "Worse Dreams," "Black Saturday" and "By Crooked Steps." There will also be a live DVD filmed in London, UK's Hyde Park.

In addition to the music and video extras, the set will come with five lithographs — one for each of the four band members and one of the album cover. Order now and you'll get an instant download of the single "Been Away Too Long," plus a download of the deluxe digital album on release day.

The box set costs $99.99, or $119.99 with a T-shirt. It, in addition to deluxe CD or digital versions, is available from Soundgarden's website. The iTunes version includes an exclusive bonus track with a demo for "Halfway There."

King Animal drops November 13 via Four Entertainment/Universal Republic. Read our extensive Timeline of Soundgarden here.
