New York pop experimenter Son Lux delivered the Alternate Worlds EP earlier this week, offering up revisionist versions of cuts from his Lanterns LP, and he has now unveiled a set of visuals behind the fittingly titled revamp of fittingly titled tune "Build a Pyre (Begin Again)."
Against a backdrop of bell chimes, choir vocals, "Flight of the Bumble Bee" synth work and tiny piano melodies, the black and white video presents on-topic shots of a woman holding up an illuminated ebon candle, traces of smoke elegantly whirling in the wind and a fully ablaze bundle of wood.
You'll find the arty video down below, where you'll also see a few newly unveiled North American tour dates.
Tour dates:
09/19 Los Angeles, CA - The Roxy
09/20 San Francisco, CA - Independent
09/22 Portland, OR - Doug Fir Lounge
09/23 Vancouver, BC - Biltmore Cabaret
09/24 Seattle, WA- The Crocodile (Decibel Festival)
