Soft Verge is found on the darker side of electro, not evil, but very compelling, release by Output, the UK label that also brought Fridge and Sonovac to these shores. Slow, sparse beats that are very driving, there is intrigue and fear of Mike Silver as he repeats himself: “I begin to hear every sound and every end…” Very forward programming without being frazzled. Those who appreciate To Rococo Rot or Chessie should feel welcomed in these slightly murky waters.
