Smashing Pumpkins Detail 'Gish' and 'Siamese Dream' Reissues

We sometimes wonder if Billy Corgan has bitten off a little more than he can chew with Smashing Pumpkins' collection Teargarden by Kaleidoscope. It's been over two years since he announced the planned 44-song project, and he's still got a ways to go. But while we wait for the project's "album within an album" Oceania, we've got the details of a pair of reissues that will be coming our way on November 29 via EMI.

As previously promised, the band will be reissuing their first two LPs, 1991's Gish and 1993's Siamese Dream. Each of these have been remastered and will be available in a variety of formats including vinyl, CD and digital download. The most interesting format, however, is the deluxe edition, which will include two CDs and a DVD per album.

The Gish deluxe edition will include the original album, plus 15 outtakes from the era and the full-length concert DVD Live at the Metro, Chicago, IL 8/25/90. The deluxe set will also include six picture postcards and a 24-page booklet with track-by-track commentary from Corgan.

As for the Siamese Dream deluxe edition, the album will come with 17 extra songs from the era plus the concert DVD Live at the Metro, Chicago, 8/14/93. There are also 13 picture postcards and a 24-page booklet.
