With a new album on the way, Sleater-Kinney are likely to make some talk show appearances. Rather than hitting the usual late-night circuit, however, the trio swung by a slightly more obscure program: The Chris Gethard Show.
Their appearance on this public-access show in New York lasts for almost an hour, and it finds the program's very awkward host Chris Gethard admitting right off the top that he's nervous. There are some strange comedy sketches, phone-in questions and a musical performance — although not from Sleater-Kinney. Rather, the musical guest is a Washington, DC band called Priests. Gethard seems to be as surprised as we are that Sleater-Kinney are on the show.
Watch it below. Sleater-Kinney will release No Cities to Love on January 20 through Sub Pop.
