Slayer and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt is saying he's suffering from all of the symptoms of COVID-19 and is entering self-isolation.

In a post made on Instagram, the thrash metal icon confirms he and his wife are together in their home and he's feeling "mildly sick." The post goes on to say he won't be able to visit his grandkids until he isn't showing symptoms for at least seven days.

Further in the post, Holt says he repeatedly woke up throughout the night soaked in sweat, but down in the comments shares he doesn't have a fever and is barely coughing anymore.

Slayer played their final shows together last year while Holt is getting ready for a new Exodus album to drop this year. In February, the guitarist said he hopes to have new material from the band prepared for later in 2020.
