Just in time for the spookiest of seasons, Waxwork Records has announced its next offering — the first-ever soundtrack release of the slasher classic Don't Go in the House.
Marking the debut of the OST in any format, the 1979 score was composed by Richard Einhorn (Shock Waves, The Prowler). The release will arrive as a double-LP vinyl set, coming on 180-gram "Steel and Smoke" coloured vinyl. It features art by Marc Schoenbach, with remastering coming direct from the original analog master tapes.
Like much of Einhorn's other work, the soundtrack promises a blend of minimal electronics mixed with more orchestral and dissonant sound design. In addition to the complete film music, the release also collects various additional and unused pieces never actually used in the movie.
For a taste of the Don't Go in the House soundtrack, you can listen to a 15-minute sampler below.
You can now order the release directly from Waxwork over here, where you can also see various product shots of the package.
