Skeletonwitch Gear Up for New Album, Announce Canada/U.S. Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 28, 2011

Now that American thrash masters Skeletonwitch have wrapped up their recent seven-inch trilogy, the group have their sights set on their next destructive full-length record. A press release for the group confirms that they've already begun work on the proper follow-up to 2009's Breathing the Fire.

While not much is known about the upcoming metal platter, which will see release on Prosthetic Records, the band have named their next set Forever Abomination. Skeletonwitch are currently holed up in an L.A. studio with producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Machine Head) and expect to have the album out by the fall.

A tracklisting has yet to pop up, but the band will include a slick studio version of "The Infernal Resurrection," a tune that popped up in demo form on their latest seven-inch.

With the album projected to come out in autumn, the band have also announced a hefty tour to support the new tunes. The trip will have them supporting long-running Euro act Arch Enemy and the demonic Devildriver. They will all be making a number Canadian stops from coast to coast.
