Si Begg

Si Begg follows up his 2001 release S.I. Futures with another electro-bound but wide-ranging album. This time Si Begg’s audio eccentricity pumps out 15 diverse tracks of future flavoured, electro p-funk, Detroit techno, tweaky dancehall and hip-hop-infected electro-tech and breaks. Decidedly playful and techy in it selections, Director’s Cut at times feels a little cliché in its self-conscious electro eclecticism. Still, overall, it emits a funked-out and future looking combination of ear catching, quirky and generally hard-edged electronica.
