Next month, a pair of quirky Canadian songwriters will hit the road together, when lovable songwriter Shotgun Jimmie teams up with Edmonton's Doug Hoyer for some Canadian dates in the Prairies.
The outing is dubbed the "Shotgun Jimmie and Doug Hoyer Will Not Be Breaking Hearts Tour 2013," since Jimmie recently got engaged while Hoyer is newly married. There are four joint dates, and Hoyer also has a Winnipeg date of his own.
Both acts have recent albums to promote Hoyer released To Be a River in May, a couple of months after Shotgun Jimmie issued the excellent Everything, Everything. Scroll past the schedule below to hear both of those tunes.
As previously reported, Shotgun Jimmie recently participated in a collaborative recording project in the Yukon put together by You've Changed Records and Headless Owl Records.
Tour dates:
11/05 Winnipeg, MB - Big Fun Hous (Doug Hoyer only)
11/06 Regina, SK - Creative City Centre
11/07 Saskatoon, SK - Vangelis
11/08 Calgary, AB - Broken City
11/09 Edmonton, AB - Wunderbar
