Portland mainstays the Shaky Hands certainly arent shy about their reverence for that old time rocknroll, as their affinity for 60s garage punctuates all of the songs here. They do manage to make them sound fresh though, thanks to the relaxed production and solid songwriting, courtesy of Nick Delffs, also of Castanets. Songs like "Youre The Light and "Settle On shine thanks to their heart-on-sleeve urgency and because theyre simply damn well constructed pop songs. Occasional forays into wanky psych aside ("Love All Of), Lunglight proves that just because youve heard it before doesnt mean it has to be any less compelling.
