Following releases on labels like Relapse and A389, California metal band Seven Sisters of Sleep have disbanded. The news comes as a direct result of their rhythm guitarist, Eddie John Bermudez, pleading guilty to multiple charges related to child pornography.
According to Orange County Weekly, the 40-year-old Bermudez turned himself in last week after being charged with over two dozen counts including lewd acts on a child. He has been accused of posing as a 16-year-old boy on Facebook and soliciting explicit images from girls as young as 13.
If convicted on all charges, Bermudez faces 244 years to life in prison.
