Selina Martin

"Bike" (video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished May 2, 2016

Selina Martin released her latest LP Iʼve Been Picking Carusoʼs Brain, I Think I Have the Information We Need to Make a New World (or Caruso's Brain for short) earlier this year. She shared the video for "Hawaii" back in February, and now Exclaim! has got the premiere of a new clip for album cut "Bike."

The song guides the listener through Martin's current fixation on minimalistic art-pop, and even goes so far as to feature bike parts as instruments. Dave Clark plays percussion, utilizing a bike frame, spokes, seat, chain and bell to add some depth and stick to the song's subject matter.

The video, meanwhile, matches the track with visuals that captures the song's theme of finding freedom on two wheels. The clip was made by Dutch artist and film editor Pete Marshall, and was entirely shot on bikes in the streets of Amsterdam.
