Selfminded

After the critical success of the Refused, it seems to be an unwritten rule that all Swedish hardcore bands will now ape that sound in an attempt to achieve the commercial success that the Refused avoided by disbanding after releasing The Shape of Punk to Come. Selfminded may be Norwegian, but their sound is close enough to Refused to fall into said category. In fact, when singer Ilkka Viitasalo screams, "Can't believe a word you say, not a word you say is true" repeatedly over a vaguely punk, often hardcore riff that segues into a gentler passage ("Liar"), you swear you are listening to a Refused B-side.
