Sebastian Mullaert

Swedish producer Sebastian Mullaert releases his debut DJ mix, WaWuWe, on Mule. Known for his acclaimed work as Minilogue, with partner Marcus Henriksson, Sebastian goes solo for the first time since 2007. WaWuWe is a two-disc release, featuring new works by Minilogue, including a collaboration with Koss, and Mullaert's first solo productions. The title comes from the Buddhist notion that everything is connected, symbolized by a circle. On the first CD, Sebastian applies this concept, offering a seamless blend of organic, deep, minimal techno compositions that flawlessly flow from one track into the next. The release is worth getting for this disc alone. The second CD is a bit more upbeat and dance floor-friendly, featuring works from Cobblestone Jazz, Oleg Poliakov and Black Dog. With Sebastian's dominant strength being his melodic transitions, the Minilogue boys are just as brilliant solo.
