The S.C. Volunteers offer up four tunes on their first single. Spawned from the Northern California street punk scene that gave us the Randumbs and the Forgotten, the S.C. Volunteers are on the same wavelength as the Swingin' Utters and Stiff Little Fingers. The songs are about the blandness of life and work, punctuated by chanting choruses that probably go over well at their shows. These two bands show that no matter how tired the punk formula may be, it's still possible to inject some life back into it.
