On Save Ends' debut full-length, Warm Hearts, Cold Hands, the Boston five-piece have packaged ten tracks brimming with youthful male and female shared vocal duties, riffs that both crunch and soar and buoyant lyrics. What's more, there's a true abundance of potential. "Always Knew" and "We Are The Only Ones" occupy different ends of Save Ends' spectrum; the former is two and a half minutes of a polite rumble reminiscent of Lemuria's better work, while the former uses soaring vocals and a powerful rhythm section to ensure its resonance. Both feature qualities that might lead first time listeners to believe that Warm Hearts, Cold Hands is the work of seasoned veterans of the pop punk scene. Refined and thoroughly enjoyable, Save Ends' debut full-length may be the start of something very, very memorable.
