Before Samantha Savage Smith premiered "It's a Burn" on Exclaim! TV, she treated us to another new track.
"Fine Lines" finds Smith strumming out a quiet melody with her vocal hooks bubbling overtop. Exclaim!'s back porch had just enough room for her rhythm section, which consisted of a full drum kit and electric bass. While the crowded deck might suggest a loud band, the group communicates a full sound with subdued style.
Hearing "It's a Burn" and "Fine Lines" for the first time proves Smith is one of Calgary's best new songstresses, and leaves us in anticipation for a follow-up to Tough Cookie.
