Rococode Unveil Canadian Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 11, 2011

Back in the summer, we learned that Vancouver pop rockers Rococode would be releasing their debut album, Guns, Sex and Glory, on February 7. While we wait for its release, the group -- which includes former Said the Whale member Laura Smith, plus Tegan and Sara rhythm section Johnny Andrews and Shaun Huberts -- have announced a fall Canadian tour.

There are eight shows in total, all in Canada's western half. Rococode will start off in Kelowna, BC in mid-October before touring the Prairies and then wrapping up in Vancouver on November 5.

This Vancouver gig will be a release show for Adaline, who is launching her album Modern Romantics. Fellow West Coast rockers In Medias Res are also on the bill.

As for Rococode's own album, we already learned that it was produced by Mother Mother's Ryan Guldemond, along with the band's own Andrew Braun, and mixed by John Congleton (Modest Mouse, St. Vincent, Black Mountain). Listen to the songs "Empire" and "Weapon" below. Both tracks are currently available on a seven-inch record.
