2012 is looking to be a great year for the Juno award-winning indie rockers of Said the Whale. The Vancouver-based band will be releasing their third full-length endeavour, Little Mountain, March 6 via Hidden Pony/ EMI. They will also be releasing video counterparts for all 15 songs off their new album. You can check out the first video of the series February 7, right here at Exclaim!.
Said the Whale and Exclaim! TV stopped into the Tranzac in Toronto this past December to play a stripped-down set featuring some material from their new album. The first track they played is called "Lover/Friend," from their forthcoming album. The ambient guitars and soft-sung vocals create a dramatic atmosphere that highlights the charm of the songwriting. Check it out in the video above.
