Sad Boys Glee Club

"Yours Alone" (live video)

Bringing together former members of Dinosaur Bones and Northern Empties, the Sad Boys Glee Club is a new project that's testing the boundaries of what a folk band can be. Bringing together age-old Americana tropes and modern indie rock textures, the band are ready to unveil a new video for "Yours Alone," and Exclaim! has got the exclusive premiere.

The clip features live performance footage that was shot at the Junction City Music Hall in Toronto by director Aaron Yeger and cinematographer Stephen C. Whitehead. It was captured on five cameras, and the sound was recorded live off the floor. The video was produced by Part & Parcel Collective.

"The end result is exactly what I'd hoped for," Yeger said in a statement. "You get to feel the experience of truly being there — seeing how it looked and hearing how it sounded — from both the POV of the band on stage, and the perspective of the audience, as well. It has that raw edginess of a real show, but also an intimacy that comes from being able to get in close with the band."
