Just yesterday (November 12), Ryan Adams continued his prolific music-making habit by announcing a new 7-inch single called "Do You Laugh When You Lie?" And while the single wasn't made available to hear online, Adams treated last night's audience at Toronto's Massey Hall to the first ever live performance of the track.
Joined onstage by his touring band the Shining, Adams warned fans that if anything went wrong during the song he'd just rip a 10-minute solo and no one would be any the wiser. Fortunately for everyone in attendance, the new track was pulled off live without a hitch. As Adams himself declares at the end: "That was a great maiden voyage!"
The single is out through Pax-Am on December 9. Watch fan-shot footage of the band performing "Do You Laugh When You Lie?" at the Toronto show below.
