When he's not writing alt country jams, big-haired rocker Ryan Adams has been known to crank out the odd punk album here and there. Last year, he recorded a quick hardcore record with Fall Out Boy, and earlier this year he released a limited LP of solo punk jams called 1984, which you can stream in full now.
The album is said to be an "homage to the halcyon days of the earliest releases from Dischord, SST, Touch & Go and their ilk." On first listen, we can certainly hear some classic punk tones, though it's more Replacements and Hüsker Dü than Fugazi or Black Flag.
Either way, you can stream 1984 in full below. The vinyl of the release is now sold out.
Ryan Adams will release his self-titled album on September 9.
