After going all Elizabethan on us for Take All My Loves: 9 Shakespearean Sonnets, Rufus Wainwright has announced plans to return to his roots. He'll toast the 20th anniversary of his career with an upcoming tour that focuses on his first two records.
Dubbed the "All These Poses Tour," the North American dates will draw heavily from 1998's Rufus Wainwright and 2001's Poses.
In a Facebook video message, the singer-songwriter explained the sentiment behind the fall North American tour and hinted that some additional dates may be announced in the future.
The anniversary tour kicks off on November 9 in Los Angeles and will wrap up on December 12 in Atlanta.
As it stands, he'll play one Canadian show on the "All These Poses Tour" in Toronto on November 22 — though he will hit Victoria and Vancouver this spring on a previously announced run of shows.
