Thomas was that brainy, talented friend in high school with a choirgirls voice who edited the poetry yearbook and was the top drama student but never really let loose. Everybody liked her, especially your parents, and when you played her music for them they told you how they always knew she would go far. Youre glad shes doing well, and you figure shes probably married by now because how else could she write these lyrics: "You and me/ me and you/ there couldnt be a better two/ to be blessed and know the meaning of true love. Now shes Sub Pops answer to Sarah McLachlan and shes on her second album of nicey nice and sweetie sweet. Fortunately, there isnt much cutey cute, but its still sugary enough to make you wince.
