Roedelius Gathers Up Rarities for 'Selected Pieces 1990 to 2011'

German experimental keyboardist/pianist Hans-Joachim Roedelius helped lay the groundwork for Krautrock via his early '70s output with Cluster (née Kluster). But he also went on to collaborate with Brian Eno, perform in Harmonia, and let loose an impressively prolific run of solo LPs starting in 1978. He's been holding onto a lot of unreleased recordings too, and some of those rarities will be offered up on Selected Pieces 1990 to 2011.

The collection comes out February 19 via Japanese label Mule Musiq. The 11 songs contained within were hand-selected by the imprint's Toshiya Kawasaki, who apparently went through scores of previously unused material. You can check the tracklisting down below and the cover art above.

Roedelius' last solo studio LP was 2010's Ex Animo, though he delivered a collaboration with Chaplin called King of Hearts last October, as well as recent records with his Qluster project.
