Chicago's Rockie Fresh and L.A. rapper Casey Veggies have respectively had big years via a few mixtape releases, but the young MCs will end 2013 with a bang via a newly announced collaborative project potentially dubbed Fresh Veggies.
The pair revealed plans for the EP yesterday (October 30) to MTV, noting that the offering comes sometime in December courtesy of a partnership with sportswear company Puma. Both artists have endorsement deals with the company.
While the rappers had previously teamed up on tracks like "Energy" and "Duckin N Dodgin," Fresh noted that he was excited to offer a more substantial collaboration.
"We were always able to make records together easy," he noted of their working relationship. "But now that we're able to do it on the level that we at now, I think it's going to be special on both parts, just the performance that you gon see, it's gon be crazy, man, something classic."
Song info has yet to arrive, as well as the due date and official EP title, though the rappers hint that Fresh Veggies seems like a perfect fit.
"Fresh Veggies," Veggies explained. "That's what everybody think. Y'all need that Fresh Veggies. We gon leave y'all with that.
Earlier this year, Veggies served up his Life Changes mixtape, while Fresh offered up both his Electric Highway and The Birthday Tape freeleases, as well as appeared on MMG's Self Made 3 compilation.
